Reviews are completed by board-certified physicians and written to the standard of evidence-based medicine, in plain language for every step in the adjudication process.
Why New York Teams Use Peer Review
New York claims often depends on a few practical questions. These questions include relatedness of the identified conditions, if treatment is clinically indicated and in compliance with appropriate medical treatment guidelines, and there is ample discussion on establishing a path for to return to work.
A physician peer review evaluates treating notes, diagnostic studies completed, and prior opinions offered. At that point, the reviewer provides competent clinical evidence-based medical responses to the inquiries offered.
Often clinical opinions do not agree. The reports provided are based on competent clinical citations that are supported in the most current medical literature. Therefore, an analysis of the differing opinions relative to the clinical medicine offered can be resolved to an evidence based medicine standard every step in the adjudication process.
